Gina Lopez is proof that one person can move mountains. She dedicated her life to living sustainably and encouraging others to preserve and conserve the beauty of our ecosystem. At an early age she has expressed her joy of serving others, and she was true to her compassion by living in the slums in Africa to cater the needs of poverty-stricken families.
She lived by the motto: “Service to humanity is service to God.” This phenomenal woman doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk through her numerous environmental and humanitarian programs in her homeland. Her beauty, grace, and compassion to help others resonates with work.
Some of her most notable established foundations are the well-known Bantay Bata 163, Bantay Kalikasan, and the famous Kapit Bisig Para sa Ilog Pasig.
Gina Lopez teamed up with different people and organizations to fight poverty and draw attention to sustainable inventions that can help us fight climate change. One of the innovations she focused on was inventions for renewable energy sources for the Philippines and stop global warming in its tracks. This included the solar powered EJeepney back in 2000 with Robert Lopez Puckett, her cousin and Managing Director of Solaready PH. (As photographed above)
Today, the modernized jeepneys and hybrid buses are a result of her efforts in evolving technology for a more sustainability.
Before she left, she has changed countless lives. Gina Lopez was and will forever be an Earth Angel. And it is up to us to follow her footsteps and continue the path she paved way for to give our country a brighter and cleaner future.
