Solaready PH founders aim to deliver solutions that would reach every community and free each Filipino from the burden of rising electricity costs—making each family and business its own electric company.
In 2014, decades-old experience in solar and renewable energy met the genius in business.
Mr. Miguel de Asis holds an Economics degree and grew up in a family-owned shipping and freight forwarding business. A self-confessed 'entrepreneur by heart,' Mr. de Asis soon founded his own business from the heart.
It was eight years ago when Mr. de Asis had a client who imported solar panels and wind turbines through their freight forwarding business. Mr. de Asis took interest in these solar panels and thought solar energy could be a promising social enterprise.
“Solar is a boundless, universally accessible energy source. And as renewable energy rapidly emerges as alternative to fossil fuels and other harmful energy sources, solar power poses a lot potential to the sustainability of developing countries such as the Philippines.”
Mr. de Asis only aimed to venture in an enterprise that primarily seek and create social value and address social problems on a long-term and large-scale perspective, specifically solar.
And as luck would have it, Mr. Miguel de Asis met Mr. Robert Lopez Puckett, the pioneer in solar power systems in the country since 1970s. A few more meetings and Solaready Inc. had finally arrived—with two heart-dominant individuals who bring purpose and passion to the solar business and translate their mission into reality, one day at a time.
